Refund Policy

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since the date of purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned.

Non-returnable items:

* Gift cards

* Downloadable software products

* Any products that are used in the ears or mouth such as earphones, microphones, instrument mouthpieces, harmonica’s etc.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

* Your return reason is not an item defect or shipping damage.

* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after purchase date.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notification that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 3-5 business days. If the return was not a result of damage or error, you will be refunded the full price minus any actual shipping costs associated with your order. 

Late or missing refunds 

Typically refunds will take 3-5 business days to be returned to your original payment method.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Only regular-priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at help@interstatemusic.com for information on how to exchange your order.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. If the item was not damaged or defective, your initial shipping cost (to ship the item to you) will also be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Shipping and Returns Policy

Free Shipping

Interstate Music is proud to offer Free Shipping on most items with a $35.00 minimum purchase.  The following are the restrictions to our Free Shipping Policy:

  • Certain oversized or special-order items may not qualify for free shipping. 
  • Free Shipping is available to the 48 contiguous United States. Alaska and Hawaii do not qualify for Free Shipping.
  • Mid to Heavyweight items will ship via UPS with delivery times between one to five days depending upon destination.
  • Lightweight items (13 ounces or less) will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail with a tracking number. Delivery is usually within two to five days.

Interstate Music also offers the following paid shipping options based on destination;

International Shipping

At this time, we do not offer international shipping.

Holiday Shipping

Your order must be placed by 1:00 PM CST to ship out the same day. Orders placed after that time may be delayed until the next business day and not arrive at your desired time.

Order Tracking

Interstate Music offers package tracking on all of our orders.   You can check your order status on our site by logging into your account and selecting Orders.  Once you select your order you can see the tracking details for each package sent.  You may also contact us at help@interstatemusic.com, or contact Customer Support with any questions about your shipment.

Order Cancellation

Interstate Music wants you to be happy with your purchase.  If you have placed an order and have decided to change or cancel please contact us at help@interstatemusic.com, or contact Customer Support  and we will do all that we can to accommodate your request.   Please keep in mind if the order is already being processed in the warehouse we may not be able to change or stop the shipment.  In the case of the order already being in process, you will be able to use our return / exchange policy once you receive the items.

Returns

If you are not completely satisfied with one of our products, you may return it anytime within 30 days of the date of purchase for a hassle-free refund of the amount you paid for the product. Refunds do not include shipping costs. We only specify that returned product not be damaged, missing components, or manufacturer’s documentation. Any special order or non-stocking items are specifically exempted from this policy and will be assessed an appropriate restocking charge.

How to return products?

To return your products, log in to your account and go to the Orders area of the website.  From there you can select to Return Items.  Once you submit your return request you will receive email notifications containing the progress of your return.  Do not ship your product back until you receive an email confirming your return and containing your Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.  If you have questions, please contact Interstate Music at help@interstatemusic.com, or contact Customer Support

Are there non-returnable products?

We will not accept returns on any products that are used in the ears or mouth such as earphones, microphones, instrument mouthpieces, harmonica’s etc.   We also do not accept returns on Software.

Missing Something From Your Order?

To ensure that you get your order as quickly as possible, not every item from your order may arrive in the same shipment or on the same day. You can track shipments by visiting our website and looking at your order history details.

Was Your Shipment Damaged?

If your shipment was damaged, please contact Interstate Music at help@interstatemusic.com, or contact Customer Support. We will issue a claim and get it taken care of as fast as possible.

Gift Card Policy

Interstate Music Gift Cards are a great way to give the gift of music. Gift Cards are valid for 5 years from date of purchase and do not incur sales tax when purchased.  Gift cards can used by anyone holding the gift card number.  Stolen or Lost Gift Cards will not be replaced.  We send gift cards electronically through email when ordered on the website.  If you would like a physical card please contact us at help@interstatemusic.com, or contact Customer Support. and we will try to accommodate your request.

Sales & Use Tax Policy

Interstate Music charges sales tax to orders shipped to many states.   States that we charge sales tax to are as follows:

Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.  We provide a sales tax estimate during checkout, and on your order confirmation summary email. We keep our tax tables updated but there may be occasional differences in the State, County and District values, so your final sales tax charges may be different from the estimated amount.
